Executive News
Hello Fellow Turners,

Here’s hoping that everyone had a pleasant holiday season and will have a happy 2009 in spite of the economic downturn we are all seeing.

In light of the economic problems that the world is experiencing our executive committee and national council are looking at ways and means of keeping the National Organization solvent and still maintain our in place programs and we foresee no immediate changes in our current status.

Thinking along those same lines it comes to mind that our American Turner’s Bowling, Golf and Softball Tournaments in Syracuse, Akron and Aurora are coming up as well as other championships that will be announced as they get planned. And Turner vacations are reasonable on the wallet and are a whole lot of fun so hopefully, all will consider them as an economical way of spending vacation time this year. Also local Turner Society events are a good means of enjoyment, relaxing and good times for the whole family without breaking the bank.

So let Turners be part of your way to survive the recession and provide health and happiness by maintaining a Sound Mind In A Sound Body through Turner comradery. And please don’t to forget to bring the kids. They are an important part of our future, too.

I wish to all Turners, your Turner Societies and the American Turners a successful 2009.

With Turner Greetings,
Bill Severns
National President
